The first step of our testing is to run our fingers through the hair.  Every woman spends a great deal of time running her finger through her hair.  By running our fingers through it, we ensure that the hair does not tangle or shed.  This way we know that the hair feels good when you run your fingers through it.  If it tangles and sheds, we don’t sell it.

Burn

The second step of our testing is burning a sample of the hair.  Human hair is a protein and as a result immediately turns to ash when it is burned.  Synthetic hair melts.  If the hair does not turn to ash immediately, we don’t sell it.

Shampoo

The third step of our testing is shampooing the hair.  Often time, suppliers say their hair is not chemically treated and/or processed by acknowledging it as “Virgin.”  As we only desire to sell virgin hair, if the hair changes texture and/or changes the color of the water from shampooing, we don’t sell it.

Dry

The fourth step of our testing is drying the hair.  As a fail safe to ensure virgin quality of the hair, it is dried by a blow dryer, without protectant.  Here, we test whether the hair maintains its’ healthy natural luster and feel after heat is applied.  If the hair does not maintain its’ health, we don’t sell it.

Shampoo #2

The fifth step of our testing is a second shampoo.  This is a double check for virgin quality of the hair because some suppliers add wax to the hair and it is hard to come off.  So, we shampoo, rinse, dry, and repeat.  If the hair does not maintain its’ health, we don’t sell it.

Lighten

As the six step, we dye, shampoo, and dry the hair.  This test involves applying a strong lightening agent to the hair for 30 minutes.  Virgin hair, with the lightening agent we use, will become a #613 color in 30 minutes.  Afterwards, we shampoo and dry, then a final feel check to test whether the hair maintains its’ healthy feel and natural luster.  If the hair does not maintain its’ health, we don’t sell it.

Weigh

As the seventh step in our process, we weigh the hair.  We know the appropriate weight of bundles, closures, and wigs.  If the hair is not true to the appropriate weight after our tests, we don’t sell it.

Measure

As the final step, we measure the hair.  Our customers select certain lengths because they want it, not something close to it.  So, if the hair is not true to the selected length, we don’t sell it!
